I rediscovered metal nuggets (tin in my case) and the recipes popped up

Doing pretty absurd things, mind you, but sure.

True, but similar FPS issues crop up when your render is literally half reeds or you've a good amount of animals in an active village, unless you remove certain things from the rendering tree.

Not complaining, just seemed weird for him to pretend like fps drops didn't exist from in-game effects.

If you spend too much time outside when it's raining or on snow (especially during cold seasons) you get a new illness - cold. It's a mild illness that cures itself after a week, can be helped with hot beverages, honey and sleeping in a bed. You have a higher chance to catch a cold the more empty slots in your equipment you have or when swimming.
Fun!

Quests etc. that want you to catch some flying thing are quite nasty if it rains often.

You're missing 'nugget of whitemetal' and 'bar of whitemetal', as they weren't added until this update. Smelt a tin/lead bar into nuggets and back to discover both.

I really like the rain, both the visuals and the audio. It is strangely soothing.

Heavy rain is making me stressed until I remember that actually I do not have any washing out on the line. And making it more difficult to see things. Light rain does not affect my ability to see things but does make me think about laundry.

Yes, tar kilns look pretty in the rain. Ovens, logs etc too.

Amazingly enough it does not seem to have massively slowed anything down yet, but maybe that's because there's not enough stuff in the neighbourhood yet to cause the cumulative issues.
