it's this issue of people mistaking convenience for laziness or "casual" gameplay, . . . there is no reason why not to have sacks . . .

Re: Game Development: Crystal Patch
is there a reason why you didn't document the newest animal behaviour changes in this patch? I like the changes overall, just don't understand this stealth update

Re: Game Development: Crystal Patch
Great patch.
If there's anything to blame, it would probably the dev's internal variable (or getter) naming. Obviously I can't see the server-side code, but one was likely named something like 'fepMax' while the other was likely named something like 'fepTotal'. Bugs like that are hard to catch when it does behave as intended 99% of the time.
AliExpressMerchant wrote:holy fuck, you can't be seriousA character's "distance" to the server lead was incorrectly calculated using the current FEP-meter max, rather than the highest attribute, causing a reduced FEP-meter (e.g. from food variance bonus) to effectively count your stats as that much lower.
As a programmer: this is a very understandable bug that would most likely pass through pair programming, code review, manual testing and possibly unit testing. Why would you stop eating before gaining a stat increase? I only ever do that (very rarely) when I'm out of food to complete the stat but still want the Sizzling buff on a food item.Aritain wrote:Nice bunch of untested features
Truly an experimental world

probably some of the worst stealth changes I've seen in a long time - if you want to try dumb, new shit at least tell us about it.

Re: Game Development: Crystal Patch
I understand that bugs happen, but these two just don't seem to be capable of producing anything remotely bug-free. And even this is okay. What is not okay is people literally reporting bugs to them via forums and PMs, and they just don't really care. Neither do they engage with the community, which could help them understand that yet another feature with some convoluted logic might not be thoroughly tested and might lead to people getting unintended advantage for 1.5 months straight. This is just a joke at this pointVDZ wrote:As a programmer: this is a very understandable bug that would most likely pass through pair programming, code review, manual testing and possibly unit testing.
