its funny to imagine how much dev time was wasted reading dumb ass posts like these
they should make everyone tick a box when maknig forum account to acknowledge that this is a pvp game so it doesnt need to be explained to people who dont get it, 100 different times in 100 different ways
I make this thread because I think direction of change is better when it cater to casual players. Nobody ever post any actual ideas they just cry about pvp thats probably why this world change log looked the way it did lol

Re: wat W17 should look like
bring back travel weariness and remove ring of brodgar area. travel weariness was the one thing kept me safe from being camped non stop. ring of brodgar is only useful for those who transfer stuff along the map. good for those who build 100 rock crystal claims and not much else.
what id wanna see
- travel weariness to be active again. why did we grow all that pipeweed?
- regular palisade gates (airlocks).
- shorten winter phase. it sucks.
- hunting changes are meh. dont care that much tbh.
- ore distribution sucked maybe work on that.
- pls flatten the next world a bit. 16.2 elevation and hills were a nightmare

Re: wat W17 should look like
If you're going to have a meeting place (Ring of Brodgar) then it should:
Have it's own dimension
Limit all possible interactions to: being able to see other players, spar/memorize/kin and talk to them
Liftables, carts and animals are left behind when porting there - or disallow porting when interacting with them
Give you a warning prompt telling you not to drop your items (which you may or may not be able to recover, set up whatever kills item transfer).
Teleport you to a random spot near the center
Implementing that will feel like work, so it'll be a coinflip between the developer scrapping the concept or rerunning it without changing anything
If that's implemented, then add some cool features to the place.
For instance: minigames. a fountain that you can feed coins to and tells you how much wealth it has eaten. statues indicating the lead for an attribute or ability - whether an anonymous "Swiftest has X Agility", or an ego-feeding and identifying "LINK TO RMT SERVER has X sewing". A ledger keeping track of world stats: best crop, thingwalls controlled by largest realm, dungeons cleared etc.

Re: wat W17 should look like
This is the only implementation of RoB i could agree wtih. A place to socialize, meet people, talk, etc. Etc. Not being able to be turned into a marketplace, travel shortcut or some other newbie deathzoneArgentumW7 wrote: Tue Nov 03, 2026 3:20 am If you're going to have a meeting place (Ring of Brodgar) then it should:

+1 to all except for the travel weariness :
Will as a stat and professions focusing with + Will are just weird now .. I would say significantly lower the travel weariness but dont make it 0.
Rest hard agree with Sir Sheep

Re: wat W17 should look like
what I would like to see in World 17
a crafting recipe for sand to make it easier to get at higher qualities
change how wild crops work make it easier to get all crops we don't have to go back to the old system but having one node fixed with what it generates is pretty shit
make infinite resources qualities rotate including water but not in Wells
keep the current hunger changes I like Friday feasting it greatly makes food management easier
I think the changes for travel wariness were good for the world but there is one exception if you ever do allow people to transport directly from charterstone to charterstone you'll probably have to bring that back
I like to have an easier method to catch Ducks cuz right now they're kind of locked behind horses
I wish there was a way to remove Stone areas on the map are not actually mountains cuz you can't fill them in with dirt or anything right now at the moment like if you build by one you can't cover it and raise your terrain or lower it in that spot
honestly the hunting changes were kind of a mistake after terrain is slightly elevated in a certain way it could break line of sight of animals you don't even have to jump off a cliff or up a cliff to make the enemies turn around and run away if you climb up a steep slope and they will lose line of sight and run away you can easily use this to cheese in animal to make them slightly run away go back shoot them with an arrow they'll turn around and come back do it again and repeat also some reason they're not destroying fences or walls or a signposts anymore it's starting to turn out to be more like Legacy again where people just build signposts to surround animals because they're not destroying them but honestly I can care less what you do about the hunting mechanics it doesn't change how I hunt but I do feel like it's kind of ridiculous something was put in to stop cheesing and it's so easy I can do it without even trying
I would like to see a way to transport dirt easier or bigger stockpiles for dirt this world I have probably moved 13 million units of dirt I have shit tons of dirt stockpiles that have no use maybe not actually 13 million but probably close to 3 to 4 million it just feels like a shit ton a dedicated wagon or cart for moving dirt would be nice and can carry about 10 stockpiles of dirt without needing a wheelbarrow you just dump the dirt directly into it and you can directly take dirt from it automatically if it's within a terraforming area even using Bots to do this thing it takes about 3 to 4 weeks to move dirt with the current methods
the three most annoying things about terraforming
number one the stockpiles of dirt moving them around
number two the constant needing to prepare food because you were out of energy every 40 minutes even if you have high energy food
number three only one character can really tear a form at a time there's tricks to allow more than one but they collide with each other and stop working
the most annoying problem out of all those problems is the movement of dirt is the most tedious and frustrating part wheelbarrows don't carry enough your inventory can carry a decent amount but it's still not enough both stockpiles and stacking dirt are not ideal they're this the only option I would like to have some better choices of dealing with dirt movement after the terraforming is done or when I need to move it to another area to terraform
an optional thing I would like to have indoor ovens and smelters maybe a dedicated Workshop building where you can build those things
final optional thing alternative walls besides Palisades and brick walls for aesthetic options that do the exact same shit

Re: wat W17 should look like
>sand crafting
kinda meh, but maybe if the recipe is reasonable
>easier wild crops
I actually like the way it works rn, encourages people to trade crops early into the world
>more quality rotations
uhhh no thank you
>hunger
I also like hunger changes, however the salt needs to be reworked and the questing for hunger needs to be nuked from the orbit
>travel weariness
I would like if it made a comeback in some sort of way
>catching ducks
dawg just pick up a clover it doesn't get any easier than that
>terraforming
most people would probably agree that it can be made easier, yeah
>hunting
I liked the initial changes, aside from the PvE in the ocean. however the shit that they shadowpatched in the last update makes no sense, I've been trying to rationalize it for hours and there is literally no good explanation besides self sabotage
>indoor ovens and smelters/workshop building
coming in the first OCO update, trust the process

+indoor ovens, some kind of decorative fire place
Also: way to change color of wood in houses (stairs, floors, walls) (without sketches)
